#OctPoWriMo 29- Moonlight Road

Straight line road through fallow field
For a murder of crows I do yield
Black post fence guards slick and gravel
A grassy tapestry to unravel
Frost nips at the head of thistle
A lonesome chickadee haunts a whistle
Fog billows along the shallow river
The air is still without a quiver
Light erupts upon the land
A flash of Mother Nature’s hand
Warm weather wanes to winter mode
Along a stretch of Moonlight Road.

    1. Thank you! I wrote this one in the car this morning on my back road commute to the office. I’ve thought about writing a poem about Moonlight Road all month and finally made it work.
