There were simply too many things going on yesterday and by 9 pm, I was out for the count, only to be awoken by my husband cheering for the Royals shutout of the Giants in game 6 of the World Series. Tonight’s final game is going to be brutal.
So we here is a make up of day 28, plus the regular day 29:
Sheathed in armor
Impenetrable as fire
Scales that shimmer like gold
Wings of leather
Broad as a mile
Talons that will tear you cold
It sleeps below
Don’t wake it
Whatever you do
Or you will not grow old
Within the Palace of white
Secluded and alone
The Queen watches her world below
It is not by choice she exists alone
While the community thrives below
Watched over by the Palace of white
If she could she would travel below
Outside her Palace of white
And shed the pain of being alone
Yet she is never alone, Not when the Goddess of White dwells in her mind below.
Just a few more days before the #OctPoWriMo challenge for 2014 comes to an end. It’s been a fun experiment, not always easy. Many good things have come of it. The brain is definitely churning with creativity.
Here’s looking ahead to the future of poetry!
