#OctPoWriMo 25-Almost Forgot

I almost completely forgot I needed to write a poem for today.  I was busy with Saturday things: family picture day, oil change, making chicken broth, Supergluing my fingers together. . .the usual.

Smiling Moon

A grin tipped forty-five degrees
The toothy expression of someone
Spilling over with glee
The salmon-hued horizon welcomes you
Into a darkening embrace
Your smile leaves too soon

#OctPoWriMo is coming to an end. Just 6 more poems to write. It’s been a wonderful challenge. The break will be nice, but I will probably miss it. Isn’t NaPoWriMo in April??

#NaNoWriMo will fill the addiction for words come November. Keep an eye out for my updates on the 50,000 word challenge, posted right here, at the same bee-time on the same bee-channel.

    1. Trying to fix a kid’s whistle… the glue squirted everywhere, of course. I’m becoming a big fan of Gorilla glue which is much easier to clean up in such cases and holds really well.
